Dealing with Emotions
by TeacherMama
An angry Campbell was in his room throwing things around and was really mad that he could not use the computer.
He was in the middle of writing an angry note to his mom when there was a knock on the door.
It was Happy Campbell.
He had just walked the dog and went for a bike ride and helped his mom and he finished his homework so he felt really good. He looked at angry Campbell and said, "What's up?"
Angry Campbell said, "I'm really mad at mom. She won't let me watch the computer. I'm going to write her a mean note."
Happy Campbell looked at Angry Campbell and said, "I get it. I am angry sometimes. And when I am I think of all the thoughts that make me angry and take a deep breath from my belly and imagine blowing them out of the top of my head."
Angry Campbell looked at happy Campbell like he was crazy but decided to try it. Angry took a deep breath and thought of all the thoughts that made him mad and imagined blowing them out from the top of his head.
When he finished he looked at Happy Campbell and said, "You know what? I feel better." You are alright Happy Campbell.
#Happy Campbell said, "Yeah I know. Wanna play Lego?"
